What should my property listing description say?
The description of your flat is a vital part of your offer. It allows you to communicate facts that are not obvious from the photos at first sight or that help potential tenants understand what makes your flat unique. To provide you with the best possible technical support and to get your listing to as many potential tenants as possible, follow these tips:
Area and surroundings
Start with the bigger picture. Describe the neighborhood and environment where your property is located. Mention what the area offers tenants, for example, a sports field or parks. Often, potential tenants want to know how many cafes/pastry shops/restaurants there are, and whether they will be able to get food late at night. They also want to know how long it takes to get to city landmarks. We recommend you mention all public amenities and transport options. Providing this information now will cut down on questions from potential tenants and help them decide to send you a reservation request quickly!
Building and flat
Once you have described the location, go into the description of the building and the flat. Does your building have a lift (so it’s easy to bring a suitcase and shopping up)? What floor is it on? When describing the flat, explain how the individual rooms connect and what furniture and equipment are in each room.
Have a think: What other information would a tenant like to know about this flat? For example, do you have a futon in one room but don’t want tenants to use it as a bed.
Other interesting and important information
There might be some details that don't fit well in the previous paragraphs or some information that you would like to highlight.
Don’t be afraid to repeat that the housing is fully equipped, that it has Wi-Fi at a certain speed, and that linens and towels are provided. Also mention again how many people the flat can accommodate, whether it is suitable for pets and children, and (very important) what parking options the neighborhood offers.
