Welcome to The TLC Home Townhouse, a rather special little home tucked away on Rua do Outeiro, a charming traditional street in the historic neighbourhood of Massarelos.

Behind its traditional Porto façade and private entrance, you'll discover something quite unexpected a beautifully designed contemporary home, full of personality, warmth and thoughtful details.

Arranged over two floors, the townhouse has been lovingly designed and furnished by TLC Home, an interior design studio specialising in bespoke furniture and distinctive interiors. Every piece of furniture is a TLC Home creation, bringing together beautiful fabrics, sculptural shapes, carefully chosen colours and the craftsmanship that makes each piece unique.

With two bedrooms, a bathroom, separate WC , air conditioning and a charming glimpse of the River Douro from the principal bedroom, it's a comfortable and welcoming place to make your own while spending time in Porto.

A little street with a big heart

One of the things we love most about the townhouse is its setting.

Rua do Outeiro is a tiny traditional street along Porto's historic Caminhos do Romântico, where old stone pathways, beautiful gardens and little streets tell the story of the city's past.

But what makes it truly special is that this is still a neighbourhood where people know one another. Some of the residents have lived here all their lives, and there's a genuine warmth and friendliness that gives the street its own lovely character.

Just a short distance away, you'll find the Douro waterfront, traditional Portuguese restaurants, historic trams, the gardens of Casa Tait and the beautiful Palácio de Cristal gardens. There are also local shops and everyday amenities nearby, making it easy to settle into the rhythm of Porto life.

A little local help, with a lot of heart

If you'd appreciate some help with the housekeeping during your stay, we'd be delighted to introduce you to a lovely local lady who has lived in the neighbourhood all her life.

She's quite a character, knows the neighbourhood like the back of her hand and brings a wonderful warmth to everything she does. She doesn't speak English, but her kindness, cheerful personality and love for her little corner of Porto need very little translation!

She can help with regular cleaning and fresh bed linen, with arrangements and payment made directly with her, entirely at your discretion.

It's these little connections with the people who live here that make staying in Rua do Outeiro such a lovely experience.

Arrive at your own pace

We know that travelling doesn't always go quite to plan, so we've made arriving at the townhouse as simple and relaxed as possible.

With self-service check-in, you're free to arrive and settle in at your own pace, without having to coordinate a meeting or collect keys.

We'll send you clear arrival instructions and everything you need to know before your stay. And although you can settle in independently, we're always happy to help should you need anything.
