How you can cancel a reservation varies depending on what stage the reservation is in.
Is your reservation request still waiting for landlord approval? Then you can simply cancel it directly from your My Housing web app!
However, suppose the owner has already approved your reservation request, and you are no longer interested in it. In that case, you can still cancel the reservation before you sign the lease agreement. Just consider that you should do this only in essential cases. Because when the landlord accepts your reservation, their property is stopped being advertised, and they can lose the chance to rent their property to someone else.

The house is incredibly cozy. Every inch of the house has been thoughtfully designed. We found everything needed for everyday life: dishes, appliances, home textiles, etc.
The town is small but beautiful. There are several hiking trails nearby, as well as gardens with bananas, mangoes and other fruits.
Alex is just the best landlord! It was a pleasure to be your guest. Thank you for the hospitality! We would be happy to stay at the house again, it felt like a real home to us.
Very safe neighborhood. It is a sleepy fishing village, so there's really only 1 small shop that has basic toiletries, food supplies, and alcohol. There are produce vans that come about 4 times a week and the vegetables and fruit are very fresh and economical. There are some excellent places to eat in town with nice prices as well. I give it a 6 only because of the limited variety. Even without a car, we could get by, but it might not be comfortable for most people. The bus has very limited routes and times and taxis are quiet expensive (but an easy option to find) to get in and out of Paúl do Mar.
Beach Bar (fresh fish, some vegan food, very relaxed atmosphere), Bar O Ideal (the octopus dish is amazing), Bar de Pescadores (very reasonable prices and has a local experience, good for watching futbol games too). Villa Amour has excellent pastries and nice coffee beverages with probably the best ambience). Bar de Lapas is nice all around and very relaxed, but seating is limited. Calhaus Beach Bar is a place you can sit for a long time without anyone bothering you and have snacks or just a drink.
Alex is super friendly and will ensure you have a proper Madeiran experience . We left feeling like we had made a friend rather than just met our landlord.
It is a small, chill fishing village with incredibly friendly and welcoming locals. The bars can be lively with live music and dj’s every now and then.
We found the food at O Ideal to be the best in the village. Highly recommended.
