Walking through the magnificent iron gate to the front garden with the sculpture of famous residents and down to the courtyard you are entering of one of the most beautiful historical building in Budapest. You are greeted with quietness and calm, leaving behind the buzz of downtown.
This 105 m2 (plus 12 m2 gallery and 25 m2 private courtyard) apartment is on the ground floor of a restored heritage building, with 5 meter high ceilings, French doors and windows. Uniquely, it offers two separate spaces with separate entries for a family with children, 2 couples or friends. Apart from a large living/dining area and master bedroom, there is another living room with a gallery bedroom next to a breakfast-room and kitchen. As both living rooms have sofa beds, plenty of room for two more visitors.

Our guests will be greeted by my manager, who'll show you around and help with operating the laundry, heating, kitchen, TV and connect you to the Internet.
There is information of grocery shops, our favourite cafeteria and fresh produce market, the post office, parks, bathhouses and museums - all within a short walk.

We had an overall great stay in this apartment. The apartment was very spacious and comfortable, with impressive high ceilings. The apartment stayed cool even a major heat wave in August. The location was convenient, the listing description was accurate, and the host was responsive and easy to communicate with.
The only issues we experienced were a noticeable musty smell and what appeared to be mold in the bathroom and separate toilet area. These were the main reasons I deducted a point from my rating.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this home to others visiting Budapest.

This has been reflected in 80 FIVE STAR reviews for this apartment that Mr. Fodor calls ‘scam’. I was very clear from the beginning that energy usage is capped and above a certain amount there is a charge set by the government. Mr. Fodor signed the agreement and had the opportunity to change his mind before arrival. I gave Mr. Fodor a discount on the advertised rent to help with any potential overage in energy consumption. In addition I also gave him two free energy days. I am sorry that this wasn’t enough. For the record, when the apartment was handed back, the indoor temperature was 20.6 degrees.
