A car is recommended for exploring the region, although daily life in the village can easily be managed on foot. Bus service connects Pitigliano to nearby towns and cities, and private car services are also available with advance arrangement.

Catherine was an amazing host from start to finish. Her instructions were clear, detailed, and made everything super easy, so I never had that stressful “wait, what do I do now?” moment. She and her family were incredibly warm and welcoming. They even invited me upstairs for dinner, which honestly says a lot about the kind of people they are. I was on a work-and-vacation trip and working night shifts, so I couldn’t take them up on it, but the gesture really made the place feel like home. The apartment was perfect for setting up a different kind of work office while getting to experience the town like a local. The town itself is absolutely charming and has a great local energy to it. The location was excellent, and I genuinely felt immersed in the local lifestyle. I tried the local restaurants, talked with people around town, and even caught a few sunset events. It felt less like staying in a rental and more like actually living there for a while.
