Playa de Arinaga is an urban beach in the southeast of Gran Canaria (Agüimes), popular for its 4 km promenade, restaurants and bars, ideal for families and sports such as snorkelling, diving (clear waters) and windsurfing (summer winds). It has dark sand and stones, with sandy areas at low tide, showers, toilets and access for the disabled, as well as natural pools and the fishing dock. It is quieter during the week, but busy on weekends, and has the charm of an authentic fishing village, close to Las Palmas.
