Can I get an invoice or other proof of rent payment?

How does the invoicing work on Flatio and who can provide you with these billings? Read this article to see all you need to know!

The invoicing possibilities depend on your profile type.

Regular tenant profile

If you have a standard tenant profile, only the landlord (with whom you have a signed lease) can issue you an official invoice, but only under the condition that the accommodation is rented out for profit. However, such an invoice can include only the amounts the landlord has received (minus any service fees), which means that the amounts on the invoice won't correspond with the amounts you have actually paid, and it, therefore, doesn't have to be sufficient for you.

Flatio as the mediator isn't able to provide you with an invoice, but we automatically send you a digitally signed proof of payment acceptance. This document is sent after every payment we receive from you, so the service fees are included as well. It should serve you well for any purpose needed - we've also seen that it's accepted by tenants' employers as proof of payment, allowing them to reimburse you for the costs.
